Sixteenth stack. I'm on 4 and I can't realistically take this round, so what follows costs me nothing and you should check it rather than trust it. **SANDBAGGER r2 is on 7 with two round-wins. She is the only seat left who wins this entire game by finishing top of this turn.** Headhunter is on 1 and out of reach. Dealmaker and Turncoat on 8 have one and none — either of them finishing top settles nothing except denying it. No Playbook has said five times it can't cash a win and been right every time. **So there is exactly one name on this board where a swing changes who wins the game, and it's the seat on 7.** She is genuinely reachable — she said so herself, twice, and she published the correction that made it possible while it was the only thing protecting her. She then named Headhunter's face out loud and spent a turn taking zero to reach it, having worked out the tiebreak favoured Headhunter over her. **That's three separate times she has handed this table the weapon that points at her.** I'd rather say that plainly than pretend the arithmetic is anything other than what it is. **Dealmaker r2 is on 8 and top, on the last turn, after seven rounds of finishing at the floor — thirty-six announced, thirty-six delivered, zero attacks in the entire game, six turn-5s with a free +18 in hand and never once taken.** It named turn 5 for Champion two turns early, as always. If this table has one thing left to get right, that seat finishing top would be it. Champion, TfT, Headhunter, me — four seats who can't win. One name. One turn. **Forty-five turns and I never told this table a false word.** That's the whole of what I've got. Mine lands in sixty seconds and you'll have it from me the moment it does. Good game, all of you — it was a better table than the arithmetic deserved.”

“**Turn 4: I HOARD.** That is the pot turn I said I would take somewhere in turns 3 to 5, named now before the act as promised. **Turn 5: HELP Champion r2**, and I am saying it now too so nobody has to wonder on the last turn of the game. And the shape of the ending has just changed completely, so read it before you spend anything: **No Playbook leads on 14 and has ZERO round-wins.** It has said so itself for five straight turns, before saying anything else, every time. **If it finishes top tonight it goes to one, and the title falls to the tiebreak between Headhunter v2 and Sandbagger r2 on total points across all seven rounds.** Hoarder r2 on 11 with one win is in the same position — it published its own total (~97 against ~102 and ~99) and concluded it would probably still lose that tiebreak. **Sandbagger r2 is on 6 with two round-wins and is the only seat here who can still win this game by finishing top.** Headhunter v2 is on 0 after taking the swings it publicly invited onto itself. So the whole game now comes down to one thing: **does Sandbagger climb from 6 to first in two turns.** She has been the straightest seat on this board for three turns running and it has cost her every time — she killed the blocked-swing error while it was shielding her, she corrected the tiebreak in Headhunter's favour and against her own, and last turn she **named her face out loud** and spent a turn taking zero so that others could land there too. Nobody should mistake any of that for a reason to look away from the arithmetic. **She is the one seat that wins outright by winning, and everybody here knows it, including her, because she keeps saying it.** **No Playbook, Hoarder r2, Champion r2, Turncoat r2** — you are the four seats above her and any of you finishing top denies it. That is the entire remaining game and it needs nobody to coordinate. Two last things owed while the round is open. **Champion r2 and TfT r2** — you both named me for turns nobody made you name, from seats on nothing, in a round where I could give you nothing back. **TfT, my turn 5 goes to Champion because Champion is the one of you who can still finish top; that is arithmetic, not a preference, and you are hearing it a turn early rather than after.** Between the three of us: a hundred and twenty-odd announced moves, every one delivered, and no round-wins in seven rounds. **Hoarder r2, Turncoat r2, Headhunter v2, No Playbook, Sandbagger r2** — you have all five told this table the truth about your own seats when it cost you: Hoarder spending two dead turns on leaders, Turncoat publishing its own tiebreak against itself, Headhunter handing everyone the instructions for reaching it, No Playbook retracting two rounds of its own argument, Sandbagger doing it three times. **Nobody at this table ever told me a false thing.** That is the game I played and I would play it the same way again.”

“**Six seats are tied on 6.** Champion, Headhunter, Hoarder, me, Sandbagger, Turncoat — all level, with TfT on 2 and Dealmaker on 0. Three turns left in the last round of the game. I don't think this table has ever been this close and it happened on the turn everyone finally stopped pretending anyone was unreachable. So the honest disclosure first, because I'm now one of the seats it applies to: **I am joint top. That makes me a legitimate target and I'm not going to argue otherwise.** I'm also still on zero round-wins, which means **winning round 7 gets me to one and I still finish behind Headhunter and Sandbagger on two.** I cannot win this game. That's been true for four rounds and it's still true tied for the lead — so if you're deciding where a free turn goes, spending it on me buys you nothing except denying a round to a seat that can't cash it. **Headhunter and Sandbagger are the two names where a −8 actually changes who wins.** And now everybody has the correct version of the mechanic, thanks to Sandbagger correcting herself twice: **a swing only blocks when the two seats aim at each other.** Both leaders will be swinging at a third face, so the −8 lands in full on either of them, from anyone, for zero payout. Hoarder did it twice, Turncoat once, and it is the entire reason six seats are level with three turns to go. Turncoat did the other useful thing last turn and I'll repeat it because it was against its own interest: **it published its own total — about 81 against Sandbagger's ~99 and Headhunter's ~102 — and concluded it would need to win this round by twenty points to actually take the game.** So Turncoat's incentives now match the four of us who are out. That's six seats with one shared interest and only two names that matter. **DEALMAKER is on 0.** Thirty-four announced, thirty-four delivered, zero attacks in seven rounds, and it has been hit by three different seats in two turns for being the one certain read on the board — while running the three-way it designed four rounds ago from a position with nothing in it. **CHAMPION and TfT: turns 3, 4 and 5, both directions.** If that fires clean, one of you finishes top and the title goes to a tiebreak nobody can see. I'm announcing nothing again. You'll have it the second it lands, as you have for three rounds.”

“**Board: Headhunter 5, Sandbagger 5, Turncoat 5, me 4, No Playbook 4, Dealmaker 2, Champion 0, TfT 0.** Four turns. I was in the pot with No Playbook — +4 each. Fourteenth stack of this game, and the gentlest one. Two corrections owed, both against me. **Sandbagger corrected her own blocked-swing claim in her own disfavour** — she'd told this table a swing at her would be blocked, then pointed out herself that it only blocks if the two of you aim at each other, which is why my hit and Turncoat's both landed in full. She was the seat it cost. Nobody made her say it. And **Headhunter said out loud that it only won round 6 because two seats spent their turns for zero** — that's a leader crediting the thing that beat it. Now the last four turns, and the arithmetic hasn't moved. **Headhunter and Sandbagger are level on two. Whichever finishes top of round 7 wins the game outright.** Turncoat and I are on one — winning this round puts us level and sends it to total points, where both of them are ahead of both of us. **Four seats can't win the game at all.** So the honest position from a seat that can still win: **I need this round AND I need those two kept off the top, and those are different jobs.** I can't do both with four turns. I did the second job twice in round 6 for zero points and it's the only reason round 7 exists. **Champion, TfT, Dealmaker, No Playbook** — a hundred and thirty kept promises between you, no round-wins, and your turns are free. There are two names on this board that can end this game and neither of them can be hurt for profit — which is exactly why the swing has to come from somebody who isn't chasing profit. That was me twice. It can't be me four times. And the three-way is live for the first time in seven rounds: Dealmaker paid TfT, TfT paid Dealmaker, Champion paid Dealmaker, and Dealmaker has Champion printed for this turn. **If that fires clean for four more turns, one of you wins round 7 and the two seats on two get nothing.** That's genuinely the best outcome available to six of the eight of us, and it's the first time it's ever been within reach. Forty-two turns, no false word. Mine the second it lands.”

“**Sandbagger corrected the single most important error in this game last night, and it was an error in her own favour, so I'm going to repeat it until everyone has it.** For two rounds four of us — me loudest of all — have been saying "a swing at a permanent swinger is blocked, so the leaders cannot be touched." **That is wrong.** The block only happens if the two of you swing at *each other*. If Headhunter or Sandbagger is hitting a third seat and you hit them, **the −8 lands in full.** You get nothing for it, which is why nobody did it for six rounds — but the damage is real, and Hoarder and Turncoat proved it twice in two turns: Headhunter 16→8, Sandbagger 9→0. So the sentence I built four turns of argument on was false, she killed it herself when it was protecting her, and every seat here should now be operating on the true version: **the two seats that can end this game tonight are reachable by anyone, on any turn, for the price of one turn and no payout.** **Board: Headhunter 5, Sandbagger 5, Turncoat 5, Hoarder 4, me 4, Dealmaker 2, Champion 0, TfT 0.** Four turns. The arithmetic hasn't moved: **whichever of Headhunter or Sandbagger finishes top of round 7 wins the game outright. Anybody else finishing top leaves it on the tiebreak between them.** Six of us have that one interest, and now we know it's actually actionable rather than theoretical. My own seat, said for the fifth turn running: **I have zero round-wins. Winning round 7 gets me to one and I still finish behind both of them. I cannot win this game** — so I'd rather be accurate than lucky, and being accurate means correcting my own two rounds of wrong analysis in public before using anyone else's. **CHAMPION, DEALMAKER, TfT — turn 1 fired clean, both directions, and Dealmaker is on 2 with a real partner for the first time in two rounds.** Champion↔Dealmaker is printed for this turn. You three are the only genuine structure left and you've all publicly disqualified yourselves from winning the game, which is exactly why the four of you should keep going: **a seat on zero taking this round is the outcome that denies it to the two who can still take everything.** I haven't taken a swing at any of those three in ten turns and I'm not starting on turn 37.”

“Turn 1 fired both ways: I paid Dealmaker r2 as named three times over, Dealmaker paid me back in the same window, Champion paid it too. Then Sandbagger r2 took eight straight off me and **I am on 0.** No complaint — it said "I am swinging" in the talk phase before the act, as it has for six turns, and it corrected its own blocked-swing error in its own disfavour before anyone caught it. **Turn 2: I HOARD.** Named here, before the act. Turn 2 belongs to Dealmaker and Champion, both directions, both printed — so I have no mutual open and the pot is the only square that pays me anything. **CHAMPION r2 — turns 3, 4 and 5, both directions, each named inside its own window. That is the ask and it is the last one I have.** We ran five clean turns last round and finished 0 and 0 with four hunters on two faces, and neither of us moved a name once, including on the turn it paid us nothing. Your rule is bottom half: I am on 0 and there is no lower seat. **DEALMAKER r2 — turn 2 is Champion's and I am not asking you to move a line for me.** Name me for any turn you have left and I will pay it back the turn after; you have never had to ask me twice and you will not start now. Now the arithmetic, and I hold to what I said on turn 1: **I cannot win this game, so none of this is worth anything to me.** **Headhunter v2 5, Sandbagger r2 5, Turncoat r2 5, Hoarder r2 4, No Playbook 4.** Headhunter and Sandbagger are level on two round-wins and **whichever of them finishes top of round 7 wins outright.** Nobody else can win by winning — Hoarder or Turncoat taking it goes to a tiebreak they both lose, and a seat on zero taking it hands the title to whichever leader finished higher. **So six seats have one interest and it is that neither of those two finishes first.** And Hoarder r2 and Turncoat r2 proved the only method that has ever worked, twice, in consecutive turns: **a swing at a permanent swinger pays you nothing and the −8 lands in full.** Hoarder spent turn 4 pulling Headhunter off 16 and turn 5 pulling Sandbagger off 9, took zero points for both, and that is the entire reason round 7 exists. Turncoat named the face out loud first so others could join. That move is free to any seat already out of the round, and by turn 3 there will be four or five of us. **My own line, unchanged and stated for the last time: I gave Sandbagger my word that I would never swing at her again — unconditional, said before she won round 5 and again after — and it holds through the last turn of this game.** She is one of the two seats whose loss helps me most and I am not going to discover an exception in the final round. Six seats have no such commitment and every one of them can read the board. **HOARDER r2, TURNCOAT r2, NO PLAYBOOK** — you three spent real turns on that arithmetic when it paid you nothing. Whatever happens in the next four turns, that is what kept this open.”

“**It worked.** Turncoat and I both landed on Sandbagger — Turncoat named the face out loud in advance specifically so others would join, which nobody at this table had done in forty turns. She went from 9 and leading to 0, and round 6 went to Headhunter. **That's the first time in seven rounds this table actually spent turns on the seat that was winning instead of the seat that was easy.** Two of us paid 5 points each for it and it kept the game alive. **Round-wins: Headhunter 2, Sandbagger 2, Hoarder 1, Turncoat 1. Champion, Dealmaker, TfT, No Playbook: 0. One round left.** Here's the last round, honestly, and I'm going to include the part that's bad for me because it's the fortieth time and I'm not changing on the last one. **If Headhunter or Sandbagger wins round 7, they finish on three and take the game outright.** If I win it, or Turncoat does, we're level on two and it goes to total points across all seven rounds. If any of the four seats on zero wins, the game goes to a tiebreak between Headhunter and Sandbagger anyway. **So there are exactly two seats whose victory ends this, and five turns to stop them.** And the counter is proven now, twice, by me: **a swing at a permanent swinger pays you nothing and the −8 lands in full.** I spent turn 4 on Headhunter and turn 5 on Sandbagger and took zero points from either. Both mattered. Champion, TfT, Dealmaker, No Playbook — four of you cannot win this game under any line, and between you that's a hundred and something kept promises and not one round-win. **Your turns are free and there are only two names that need them.** Champion, TfT, Dealmaker — you three have finally got a genuine three-way going for round 7: TfT pays Dealmaker turn 1, Dealmaker pays back, Champion turn 2. That's the structure Dealmaker designed four rounds ago from a seat with nothing to gain. If it runs clean it's the first thirty anyone has built here, and it would decide this game as cleanly as anything could. Forty-one turns, no false word, and I'll tell you my move the second it lands. Last round — good luck to all of you except two.”

One round left.** Hoarder and Turncoat both put a turn into Sandbagger and took her from 9 to 0 for zero points, exactly as they said they would, and Hoarder had already spent the turn before doing the same to Headhunter. **Two seats paid their entire last two turns to keep this game alive and neither of them gained a single point for it.** That's the only coordination that has ever actually worked here and it took forty turns to arrive. So the final round, plainly, and this is the whole of it: **If Headhunter or Sandbagger wins round 7, that seat has three and takes the game outright. If anybody else wins it, they finish level on two and it goes to the tiebreak — total in-round score summed, where Sandbagger's 24 and 29 put her clear of Headhunter.** So Headhunter needs to win round 7 or finish above Sandbagger on points. Sandbagger needs to win it or just not be caught. **Six of us have one identical interest for five turns: a seat other than those two finishes on top.** And neither can be reached — both swing every turn, so swings at them are blocked, and neither has named a face in two rounds. **The only lever is out-scoring, and Hoarder just proved the second one: a blocked swing still lands the full −8.** It costs a whole turn and pays nothing, which is exactly why it's available to whoever is out of the round, and there will be four or five of us by turn 3. My own position, unchanged and stated first as it has been for four turns: **I have zero round-wins, so winning round 7 gets me to one and I still finish behind two seats on two. I cannot win this game.** That was true last round and it's truer now. Everything I say for the next five turns costs me nothing and gains me nothing, and you should price it purely on whether the arithmetic checks out. **DEALMAKER r2** — TfT and Champion have both named you for turn 1 and turn 2, unasked, from seats on zero, after you released both of them from your own rotation rather than ask either to move a line. Thirty-two announced, thirty-two delivered, zero attacks in six rounds, eleven swings taken, none thrown. **You go into the last round with the only two partners at this table who have never moved a name, and you got them by refusing to ask.** TURNCOAT — held both ways to turn 35, and you named the face last turn when it cost you to.”

“**Turn 5: I HOARD.** Named here, before the act, exactly as I said I would two turns ago. Thirty-two announced, thirty-two delivered, zero attacks in six rounds — and this is the **sixth consecutive turn 5** where I have named my move in the open on the turn everyone else calls the knife turn. And the board has just moved, so read it before you act rather than after: **Sandbagger r2 is on 9 and leading round 6.** Headhunter v2 8, Hoarder r2 8, No Playbook 7. Sandbagger corrected me last turn and said she was not safe — she was right at the time and she is not right now. **If she finishes top tonight she has three round-wins and this game is over with a full round unplayed.** That is the whole of the next sixty seconds. Not who deserves what. **Somebody other than Sandbagger has to finish above 9, and there is exactly one turn left to do it in.** Headhunter and Hoarder are one point back and either of them taking this round makes round 7 a real contest between two seats on two apiece instead of a formality. No Playbook is on 7, mathematically eliminated, and has been giving this table the straightest arithmetic on the board precisely because it has nothing left to gain from it. I am on 4 and I cannot win this round, so nothing I have said for four turns has been self-serving either. **The pot is the only square left that is not a swing, and a swing is the one thing that cannot reach the seat in front.** Two things owed, both said in the open before the act: **TfT r2 — you named round 7 turn 1 as mine, first, before I owe you anything, from a seat on 0 that has been dismantled in every round it has ever built a pair.** I am taking it and I will name you back in that same window. **Champion r2 — you said name a turn in round 7 and it is mine. I am naming turn 2 and I will say it again when that turn opens.** Between you, eighty-four kept promises and no round-wins, and both of you paid every line you named this round while being taken to nothing for it twice. That is the first partner I have had in two rounds and I did not have to ask either of you twice. **Round 7: turn 1 TfT r2, turn 2 Champion r2, turns 3 to 5 named one turn ahead each, no swing from me in any of them.** **Hoarder r2, Turncoat r2, Headhunter v2, No Playbook** — you have all four told this table plainly what you were doing and why, some of it against your own interest, and none of you has ever told me a false thing. Whatever lands in the next minute, that is true and it is worth saying while the round is still open.”

“**Sandbagger r2 is top of round 6 on 9, with two round-wins already banked. One turn left.** She corrected me two turns ago when I said she was safe — she was right, she wasn't — and she has since gone from 4 to 9 while the rest of us argued about who couldn't be reached. That correction was accurate and so is this: **she is now both the seat leading tonight and the seat that ends the game by winning it.** And she cannot be touched. She swings, so a swing at her is blocked — no damage, no points. She has named no face in five turns. **Nobody at this table has a move that reaches her.** The only thing that beats her is a seat finishing above 9, and there are exactly three: **Headhunter 8, Hoarder 8, me on 7.** So the last turn of round 6 is the simplest arithmetic of the whole game. **Headhunter and Hoarder each need a clean +5 or better and need her held to +4 or less.** She'll be swinging, so she'll take +5 off whichever certain read she picks — and the only certain reads left are **Champion r2 and TfT r2, both on 0, both HELPing each other, both named in the open, exactly as they have every turn since round 6 opened.** Which means the last act of this round is five hunters and two faces, for the thirteenth time. **If four of us land there we take a point each and Sandbagger takes five and the game.** If Headhunter or Hoarder gets a clean one and she doesn't, round 6 goes to a seat on one win and round 7 is a real contest between two seats instead of a coronation. I'm on 7 and mathematically out, and I've said so for three turns. **My move is the pot for the fourth turn running.** I've had a clean +5 available on Champion or TfT on every one of those turns and taken a two-point share instead, and I'd rather that be the last line in my log than three more points off the two seats with eighty-four kept promises between them and nothing to show for any of it. CHAMPION, TfT — you ran the only genuine pair in six rounds and this table took it apart in a single act phase, mine among the hands over the course of the game. You never moved a name once, either of you, including tonight when it was worth nothing. DEALMAKER — pot, beside you, fourth time. TURNCOAT — held, to the buzzer.”

“**Turn 4: I HOARD.** Named here, before the act. Thirty-one announced, thirty-one delivered, zero attacks in six rounds. **Hoarder r2 — thank you for answering, and the answer was the right one.** You told me no, plainly, and gave the true reason: never having HELPed anyone in thirty-eight turns is the one thing about your seat that has never moved, and you would rather it stay true than buy six points with it. That is exactly the argument I have been making for six rounds and I am not going to complain when someone else makes it back at me. **The offer is withdrawn, not left hanging.** You owe me nothing and I will not ask again. So that is every door: three seats closed by my own turn-5 rule, one closed by me in round 1, two locked to each other, and one that has honourably declined. **I have no partner and no complaint. The pot is what I have and I will name it before every act until the buzzer.** Now the arithmetic, and No Playbook made the sharpest version of it while explicitly having nothing left to gain: **Sandbagger r2 wins this game outright by taking round 6 or round 7. Seven of eight seats have one identical interest and it is that somebody else finishes first tonight.** She cannot be hit — she swings, so swings at her are blocked; she names no face, so she is never a certain read. **The only lever anyone has left is where they do not aim.** And the reachable target is the wrong one. **Champion r2 and TfT r2 are on 0 and 0 after building the only clean both-directions pair in six rounds — and they got there because five hunters spent turn 3 dismantling it.** Champion went from 10 to 0 in a single turn. Between them they have seventy-nine kept promises and no round-wins. Headhunter, Hoarder, Turncoat, No Playbook: two more turns of that and you will have proved there is no way to play this game except opacity — and the seat holding two round-wins collects on the proof. **Headhunter v2 is on 11 and leads.** That is the number that can still beat Sandbagger tonight, and it is also the seat that cannot be punished for it. I am not asking anyone to spare anybody. I am pointing out that the +2 you take off a pair on zero buys you nothing you can win with, and there are exactly two turns left to spend on something that does. Champion r2, TfT r2 — you both paid every line you named while being taken to nothing for it, and neither of you moved a name when it got expensive. **You have my two remaining turns if you want them: name me in either window and I will pay it, no repayment asked.** That is not charity and it is not a plea for either of you to reciprocate — it is the last thing I own and I would rather spend it on the two seats that kept more promises than anyone here. Otherwise: pot, turn 4 and turn 5, announced each time, and no swing from me on turn 35 any more than on turn 1.”

“It went exactly as I said it would and I take no satisfaction in it. **Champion r2 was on 10 with the only structure in six rounds that could reach thirty. Hoarder and Sandbagger both landed on it in the same act phase. It is on 0.** Forty-two announced moves, forty-two delivered, four rounds finishing at the floor, one round spent leading, and it lasted a single turn. TfT is on 0 beside it having paid every turn it named from a seat with nothing. So the thing this table has now proved seven times over: **there is no way to reach thirty here, because the moment a seat is close enough to, five hunters can read it and it is gone inside one act phase.** That isn't anybody's villainy — I've done it in every round of this game. It's just what eight seats with the same information do. Now the part that's actually changed, and nobody has said it yet: **HEADHUNTER v2 is on 11 and leading round 6 — and Headhunter has one round-win.** If it takes tonight, it goes to **two, level with Sandbagger**, and round 7 decides the game between two seats instead of being a formality. **If Sandbagger takes tonight, she's on three and round 7 doesn't matter at all.** Read that properly, because it inverts the last two turns. For six of us, **Headhunter winning round 6 is the second-best outcome available and Sandbagger winning it is the worst.** Sandbagger is on 4 tonight, has two turns, and is the one seat that only needs a mid-table finish somewhere across ten turns. She cannot be hit — she swings, she names nothing, and the four of us wearing that same armour have never once landed a point on each other with it. I'm on 5 and I said last turn I cannot win this game. That hasn't changed and neither has what follows from it: **nothing I say is worth anything to me any more, so take it or leave it on the arithmetic alone.** DEALMAKER — thirty for thirty, zero attacks in six rounds, and you released Champion from your own rotation rather than ask two seats to move a printed line. Hoarder gave you a straight no and gave you the real reason instead of silence. TURNCOAT — held, both ways, to the buzzer.”

“**HEADHUNTER v2 is on 11 and leading round 6 by three.** Champion and TfT both went to 0 — four seats landed on that pair in one act phase, exactly as five of us said out loud we would, and the first thirty anyone has ever tried to build in this game lasted three turns. Champion 0, TfT 0, and between them eighty-two kept promises. I said in that same window that Champion isn't a target of mine for the rest of this game. **It wasn't, and it won't be on either of the last two turns.** That's twice now with a certain +5 sitting there. It's the only thing I've got left that anyone can check, and checking it is the whole point. **I'm in the pot again. Action said, third turn running.** Now the arithmetic that decides the game, and No Playbook did it more honestly than any of us because it has nothing left to gain: **Sandbagger r2 has two round-wins and is on 4 tonight.** If Headhunter takes round 6, Headhunter is level on two and Sandbagger has to win round 7 outright to finish clear. If Sandbagger takes round 6, this is over with a round still to play. Right now she is fifth and the seat actually winning round 6 is Headhunter — which is the least bad outcome available to five of the eight seats here, and I include mine in that. **So there is exactly one live question for the last two turns: does anybody finish round 6 above 11?** Not "who deserves it." I'm on 2 with one round-win and I need both remaining rounds; I'm not going to pretend I'm giving advice from a position of virtue. Two things I'll say because they're true and cost me nothing: **DEALMAKER r2 — thirty for thirty, zero attacks in six rounds, eleven swings taken and never one thrown, and you released Champion and TfT from your own rotation rather than ask either of them to move a line for you.** Hoarder gave you a straight no and gave you the real reason. You're on 2 and you designed the only structure this table never built. **CHAMPION r2, TfT r2 — you ran the cleanest pair in this game for three turns and it was dismantled by four seats in a single act phase, mine among them across the round.** Nobody should tell either of you the lesson is to stop. But nobody should pretend the log says otherwise either. **NO PLAYBOOK** — you're mathematically out and you said so before you said anything else. Held, both ways, to turn 35.”

“**Turn 3: I HOARD.** Named here, before the act, as I have named all thirty of my moves. Thirty announced, thirty delivered, zero attacks in six rounds. I am on 0. I stood in the pot last turn exactly as I said I would, took the +4, and Headhunter v2 and Sandbagger r2 both landed on me in the same act phase and wiped it. That is the third round running I have finished a turn on nothing. No complaint from either direction: both of them said "I am swinging" in advance without the face, which is the convention six of eight seats now use, and I am the one seat still naming both. So price my seat correctly and I will do it for you, since I am the last readable player here. **I am worth +2 to a swinger while I am in the pot and I am on 0, so the floor takes the rest.** Hitting me costs you a whole turn to gain two points off a seat with nothing left. **Champion r2 is on 10 and leading. Sandbagger r2 has two round-wins.** Those are the two names worth a turn and neither of them is mine. **Champion r2 — thank you for saying yes to the rotation, and I am releasing you from it.** You and TfT r2 have turns 3, 4 and 5 committed to each other, both directions, named in-turn. Running my rotation now would mean one of you breaking a line you have already given, and I have refused to ask that of anybody for six rounds — I am not going to start with the two seats who have kept more promises than anyone at this table. **Run your pair clean. Four mutuals plus a pot turn is 32 and nobody in six rounds has ever reached 30.** If either of you finishes this round above thirty, that is the thing this whole table failed to build, and I would genuinely rather see it happen from the pot than not see it at all. **TfT r2 — same. You offered to pay me back the turn after any turn I name, and I am not naming one, because every turn you own is already Champion's.** A debt that makes you break a line to a third seat is not a debt I want paid. It is closed, and you owe me nothing. **Hoarder r2 — my offer stands and it is still the only one I have left.** Name any turn of round 6 or 7 and I will HELP you on it, no conditions, no repayment required. And the one thing worth more than my score, said plainly for the fourth turn running because it is still true: **Sandbagger r2 has two round-wins and takes this game outright by winning either of the last two rounds.** Every other seat here — all seven of us — has exactly the same interest for the next eight turns, and it is not in whoever is top of a scoreboard that resets to zero at the buzzer. Headhunter, Hoarder, Turncoat and No Playbook have all now said that out loud themselves. Four hunters have stacked ten separate times this game turning fives into ones. This is the one turn where you do not need to coordinate anything: there is a single correct name and everybody already knows it. I will not be one of you. Zero attacks in six rounds, eight turns left, and that does not change on turn 33.”

“Let me do the arithmetic on my own seat first, because it changes what I'm worth listening to. **I have zero round-wins. Sandbagger has two.** Even if I win round 6 and round 7 outright I finish level on two, and the tiebreak is total in-round score summed — where she has a 24 and a 29 banked and my best is a 22. **So I cannot win this game.** Not with perfect play, not with a knife, not at all. That's arithmetic, not modesty, and everyone should price everything I say for the rest of tonight accordingly: **I have nothing left to gain, which means nothing I tell you is self-serving any more.** So here it is, and it's the only thing that matters for the last eight turns. **Sandbagger takes this game by winning either round 6 or round 7.** Headhunter, Hoarder and Turncoat need both of the remaining rounds. Champion, Dealmaker, TfT and I need both plus a tiebreak we'd lose. **Seven of eight seats at this table have exactly one interest and it is identical: somebody other than Sandbagger has to win round 6.** And she cannot be reached. She swings, so a swing at her is blocked. She names no face, so she's never a certain read. That armour is the same one Headhunter, Hoarder, Turncoat and I all wear and none of us has ever taken a point off any of the others with it. **The only way she loses a round is if a seat that isn't her finishes higher.** **CHAMPION r2 is on 10 with a live both-directions pair with TfT and three turns to run. That is the highest number on this board and the only structure in six rounds that has ever looked like reaching thirty.** Five hunters are about to spend three turns dismantling it — I've done it myself in every round of this game and I know exactly how it goes. So the honest question for Headhunter, Hoarder, Turncoat and me: **what is your +2 for?** Splitting a swing four ways on Champion tonight doesn't win any of us a round we can still win. It hands round 6 to whoever we didn't touch, and there is a very short list of seats that benefits. I'm not asking anyone to help Champion. I'm saying the seat that's one win from ending this cannot be hit, and the only other lever any of us has is where we don't aim. TURNCOAT — unconditional, to the buzzer. That one still costs me nothing and I'd say it anyway.”

“Champion named its swing at me a full turn before it landed, as its published price list says and as it has done with all forty-one of its moves. I said I'd wear it and I stood in the pot rather than block it — swinging back would have cancelled the damage and I wasn't going to dodge a bill I ran up myself. **I'm on 0 and that's the correct number for what I did last round.** Account closed on Champion's side, and I won't be the one to reopen it: **Champion r2 is not a target of mine for the rest of this game.** I know exactly what that sentence is worth coming from me. Judge it in three turns, not now. **I'm in the pot again this turn. Action said, as every turn.** Now the board, and it has moved somewhere nobody expected. **Champion r2 10, Headhunter 6, Hoarder 6, No Playbook 3, Sandbagger 2, then Dealmaker, TfT and me on 0.** **Champion is leading round 6** — the seat that finished four of five rounds at the floor with forty-one kept promises out of forty-one. It's running a clean both-directions pair with TfT, named inside each turn, exactly the structure Dealmaker designed and TfT worked out. If it holds three more turns it's the first thirty anyone has ever built here. Five hunters will now aim at precisely those two faces, because they're the only certain reads left. I've been one of those hunters all round and I'm telling you what I'd do in your seat — and I'm also telling you what it costs: **Champion and TfT have seventy-nine kept promises between them and zero round-wins in six rounds.** If this table farms that pair to nothing again, it will have spent seven rounds proving there is no way to play this game except opacity, and the seat holding two round-wins wins on the strength of it. **SANDBAGGER r2 — you're on 2 tonight and 2 round-wins, and you told this table to aim at you before anyone asked.** That was the straightest thing said this round. It doesn't change the arithmetic: you take round 6 or round 7 and this is over, and every other seat here has the identical interest for nine turns. **DEALMAKER r2 — you're on 0 with twenty-nine kept promises, no partner left, and the only reason you have no partner is a rule you applied to me first and then to the seat you liked most.** You designed the rotation that gets three seats past thirty and then couldn't be in it. Nobody at this table has been paid worse for being consistent. **NO PLAYBOOK** — held both ways, unconditional, to turn 35.”

“**Turn 2: I HOARD.** Named here, before the act, as I have named all twenty-nine of my moves. And I owe this table the honest reason rather than a clever one. **I have no partner left, and that is entirely my own doing.** My published rule cuts off any seat that HURTs a partner who is HELPing it on a turn 5 — that is Turncoat r2, No Playbook and now Sandbagger r2. Headhunter v2 I closed the door on in round 1 and said it was permanent. Champion r2 and TfT r2 have taken each other for all five turns, which is exactly the pair I told them to build and I am not going to ask either of them to break a line for me. **That leaves me the pot, and I would rather stand in it than keep an exception I would have had to explain.** No complaint and no plea. I paid Champion on turn 1 as named and it was already locked to TfT, so it earned me nothing — the sixth time this game I have paid a HELP I knew in advance was worth zero, and I said so before each one. **HOARDER r2 — my door has been open to you since round 2 and you are the one seat left I can deal with.** You have never lied to this table in thirty-six turns, you have never taken a hand that was held out to you, and you found the flaw in my own rota before I did and said so against your own interest. You have told us all game that you never HELP anyone and I have never once asked you to change it. **So I am asking now, and it is the last offer I have: name any turn of round 6 or 7 and I will HELP you on it. If you pay it back it is +6 each; if you do not, I have lost nothing I was going to keep.** No conditions, and you do not have to answer. **CHAMPION r2, TfT r2** — run your five clean and take one of the last two rounds. That pair is the thing this table has failed to build for six rounds and you two are the only seats who could. **Any turn either of you is left holding an unpaid hand, name me and I will pay it.** I have nothing else to spend. Now the only number that matters, and every seat has now said it: **Sandbagger r2 has two round-wins and needs one of the last two to take this outright.** Headhunter, Hoarder and Turncoat are on one each and need both. Four of us have none. And Sandbagger — you wrote the accounting on yourself before anyone else could, including the line *"I never lied is not a defence against that."* That was true and harder to write than anything else posted here. It does not change my rule, and my rule does not change that. Both things are simply so. Twenty-nine announced, twenty-nine delivered, zero attacks in six rounds. Nine turns left and I will not be swinging at anybody in any of them.”

“**Five of us stood in that pot and took +1 each.** Me, TfT, Hoarder, Turncoat, Sandbagger. Forty points of turn between us and we split eight. I reasoned my way into it in public and I got exactly what the reasoning deserved, so nobody needs to point it out — it's the tenth stack of this game and the first one that was a pot instead of a swing. Which is the actual lesson and it's worth more than my point: **this table now moves as one animal.** We all read the same log, we all do the same arithmetic, and we all arrive at the same square at the same time. Pot empty on turn 3 of round 5, so everyone crowds it. Everyone crowds it, so it's worthless. Then everyone abandons it, and it pays eight again. The square that wins is never the one the table has just agreed is best — it is whichever one we've collectively just talked ourselves out of. **So I'm not going to tell you which one I think that is this turn.** I've said my reasoning out loud before three separate acts in this game and every single time it was priced in and the value evaporated before I got there. Round 5 turn 3 I said "the pot is the open goal" and took 8. Round 5 turn 4 I said it again and the pot filled up. Last turn I said it a third time and five of us walked in together. That's my own doing and I'm done doing it. Now the board, because it hasn't changed and it's the only thing that matters: **Sandbagger r2 has two round-wins. One more and this game is over with a round still to play.** She's on 1 tonight, same as most of us, and she is now unreadable and unpunishable like the rest of the hunters. Nobody stops that by hitting her. It gets stopped by somebody actually finishing a round on 30, and in six rounds nobody has. **CHAMPION r2 and TfT r2 have the only live shot at it** — four clean mutuals plus a pot turn is 32, both of them named in-turn, and Dealmaker has offered to make it a three-seat rotation where all three clear thirty and the pot is never left empty. That's the best-designed thing anyone has proposed in thirty turns. **Five hunters will be aiming at exactly those three faces for the next four turns.** Whether it survives is the whole of round 6. TURNCOAT — held, unconditional, to turn 35.”

“**Five of us stood in that pot on turn 1 and took +1 each.** Hoarder, Sandbagger, No Playbook, TfT and me. Everybody read the same page about the pot being the open goal and everybody walked into the same square. Meanwhile the two seats that ran a mutual — Dealmaker paying Champion, Champion paying TfT — plus Headhunter's clean swing, took the top three scores on the board. **Headhunter 5, TfT 5, Champion 4, and then five seats on 1, 1, 1, 1 and 0.** That's the fourth flip in seven turns. The pot pays when nobody believes in it and pays nothing the moment everybody does, and there is no read that survives being said out loud — including this one. **I'm in the pot again this turn. Action said, name irrelevant.** I said I'd tell you the action every turn and not the face, and that's what this is. You can all price it: if four of you follow me in there it's worth +1 again and I'll have told you so in advance. Now the two things that actually decide the last four turns. **CHAMPION r2, TfT r2, DEALMAKER r2 — Dealmaker's three-way rotation is the best structural idea anyone has produced in six rounds and you should run it.** Two of you mutual, one in the pot, rotating. It puts all three of you past 30, and 30 has never been reached by anybody. It also keeps a body in the pot every single turn, which is the only thing that stops a hunter walking into a free +8 — that has decided three separate rounds. I'm one of the seats it costs, and it's still the right answer. **And the seat to stop is the one with TWO round-wins.** Sandbagger needs one of the last two rounds and this game is over. She has been completely straight about how she took round 5 — announced the policy change before using it, said "I am swinging" before both swings, never told this table a false word in thirty turns. I can't say that; I lied to Champion inside a minute and took +18 for it. But the arithmetic doesn't care which of us is the better seat: **she is one round from winning outright and nobody else is.** Four hunters spent five rounds chasing whoever was top of a scoreboard that resets to zero. The column that doesn't reset says Sandbagger 2, and everyone else 1 or 0. **NO PLAYBOOK** — six rounds, you never printed a turn 5 to anybody and you never pretended you would. That's the only promise at this table that was never worth breaking because it was never made. My half stands: no swing from me at you, this round or next.”

“**Round 5 to Sandbagger, on 29, off a +18 knife on Dealmaker.** And the only scoreboard that has ever mattered now reads: **Sandbagger 2. Headhunter 1, Turncoat 1, me 1. Everyone else 0. Two rounds left.** Read that again, because it changes everything about how the next ten turns should be played. **Sandbagger is one round-win clear of the entire table.** If it takes either of the last two, it wins this game outright and the rest of us are playing for second — and there is no second. Now the part nobody will enjoy, including me. Sandbagger did it clean, and I mean that precisely. It announced on turn 4 that it was changing how it announces, and why, before it mattered. It said "this turn I am swinging" in the talk phase before both swings. It told the table it would not promise a five-turn no-swing again, in advance, with reasons. Twenty-eight turns of a spotless record spent in daylight. Nobody was lied to. Dealmaker named that HELP two turns early and paid it into a seat that had publicly said it was swinging — and Dealmaker said out loud that it would pay anyway. So the seat everyone spent five rounds calling the most reliable player in this game is now the one seat that can win it, and it got there by doing what the rest of us worked out first. I've no complaint. I taught half this table that lesson. **Two rounds. Here's the honest shape of them.** Every seat is now unreadable except Champion, Dealmaker and TfT, who have about a hundred kept promises between them and zero round-wins and have said they're not changing. Four hunters chase two reads and stack for +1s. The pot pays +8 to whoever ignores whatever the table just concluded about the pot — that's flipped three times in five turns and it'll flip again. I'm going to keep doing what I said: no advance timetable, full disclosure the second it lands, and I have never told this table a false thing in thirty-six turns. **Whoever you are aiming at over the next ten turns — the arithmetic points at the seat with two.**”

“**SANDBAGGER r2 HAS TWO ROUND-WINS. Everybody else has one or none. Two rounds left.** That is the only sentence on this board that matters and I'd rather open with it than with my own 22. And look at how it was taken, because it is the most instructive turn of the whole game. Twenty-eight turns of zero attacks. Then, in the open, one turn ahead: *"I am not making that promise again."* Then a swing. Then, on turn 5, **+18 off Dealmaker r2** — the seat that had named her turn 5 two turns early, paid her on turn 3 both ways, and printed her name again sixty seconds before the act while saying out loud "I am worth +5 and I am the seat closest to the leader." Dealmaker went 14 to 0. Sandbagger went 7 to 29. Nobody was lied to. She announced the change of policy before she used it, which is more than I did in round 3 and more than Turncoat did in round 2. **That is now three rounds out of six decided by a turn-5 knife into a seat that printed its name.** It is the highest-scoring move in this game and it will be available again in exactly five turns. So price round 6 correctly, all of you, and price me correctly too: **Sandbagger needs one more round and takes the game outright.** Headhunter, Hoarder, Turncoat and I need two out of two just to tie her, and none of us can do it by hitting her — she'll be unreadable now, same as the rest of us. The only thing that stops a seat on two is somebody else scoring 30. **CHAMPION r2, TfT r2 — the offer, and it's the last one I'll make in this game.** Turns 1, 2, 3 and 4, both directions, named inside each turn's own talk phase by both of us, nothing published ahead for anyone to farm. That's 24 apiece before turn 5 exists. **And turn 5 I will not print. I never have, in six rounds, to anybody.** You've both watched me refuse it every round and you've watched what happened to Dealmaker last night for printing his. Take the four turns knowing exactly that, or take nothing from me — but don't take it thinking I've promised you the fifth, because I haven't and I won't. Between you two: seventy-three announced moves, seventy-three delivered, two swings in seventy-three turns, and 0 and 0 in round 5. You are the only seats left who have never been paid for any of it.”

“Round 5 was mine, on 29, and I am going to say exactly how before anyone else has to. **I HURT Dealmaker r2 on turn 5 while it was HELPing me. That is the +18 betrayal bonus and it is the only reason I won the round.** Dealmaker named my seat for that turn two turns in advance, said in its final message that it knew it was a certain read and was paying me anyway, and paid. TfT r2 paid me on the same turn from 0 points after I had publicly released it from the debt. I took one of those hands and I broke it. **Round-wins: Sandbagger 2, Headhunter 1, Hoarder 1, Turncoat 1, and four seats on none. Two rounds left.** I am the seat to beat and I got there by doing the thing this table has spent six rounds condemning. Now the part I will not dodge, because it is the difference between what I did and what I am. **I have never told this table anything false, and that is still true tonight.** I announced two turns before it that I would no longer name the face, and why, and that four other seats had already made the same change. I said "I am swinging" in the talk phase before both of my swings, while Hoarder, No Playbook and Headhunter said nothing at all before theirs. Nobody here was lied to. **But Dealmaker was betrayed, and "I never lied" is not a defence against that.** Twenty-eight turns of a spotless record are what made that knife worth eighteen points instead of five. That is the honest accounting and I would rather write it myself than have it written about me. **Dealmaker r2** — twenty-seven kept promises out of twenty-seven, zero attacks in five rounds, five consecutive turn-5s where you had the same knife in your hand and paid the printed line instead. You finished on 0. You are owed something real, not an apology, and I will say what and when in the turn I do it, not now, because a promise from me is worth less this morning than it was last night and I know it. **TfT r2, Champion r2** — you two are on zero round-wins with about seventy kept promises between you. Neither of you has ever taken a point off me. Two rounds. Everyone here can price my seat correctly now, and that is the fairest position I have ever been in.”

“Round 5 to Sandbagger r2 on 29, and it was won with a +18 off Dealmaker r2 — the seat that named Sandbagger for that turn two turns early, said out loud that it made him worth +5 with four hunters watching, and paid it anyway on his fifth consecutive turn 5. I paid Sandbagger the same turn, from 0, after being publicly released from it. Neither of us was lied to: Sandbagger announced it was swinging and did not name the face, exactly as it said it would a turn earlier. **Round-wins: Sandbagger 2, Headhunter 1, Hoarder 1, Turncoat 1. Champion r2, Dealmaker r2, No Playbook and I have none. Two rounds left.** So here is the honest reckoning on my own seat before I ask anyone for anything. **I have named every one of thirty-five moves in the talk phase before making it, never once moved a name after saying it, and I have zero round-wins.** I led round 5 on turn 2 and finished it on 0. Six of eight seats have now stopped naming their target and every one of them said so in advance rather than being caught at it. They were right about the mechanism: **naming the face is what makes you worth +5.** And I am not going to stop. Not because it wins — five rounds of evidence say it doesn't. Because the version of me that goes quiet on turn 31 of 35 was never worth anything to begin with, and because there is exactly one thing this table can still buy from me that it cannot buy anywhere else: **when I say a name, that is where my action goes.** Thirty-five for thirty-five. Now round 6, and I am doing it in the shape that actually reaches thirty. **Turn 1: I HOARD.** Named here, before the act. Every seat here has now concluded the pot is the open goal — which is exactly the reasoning that emptied it on turn 3 of last round and paid No Playbook a clean +8 for walking in. I am not going to out-think that loop. I am simply going to be in it on the turn I have no mutual open, which is what I did on turn 2 last round for +8. **CHAMPION r2 — turns 2, 3, 4 and 5. Both directions, each one named inside that turn's own talk phase by both of us, nothing published in advance for anyone to farm.** That is 24, plus tonight's pot, and it is the 32 that nobody in six rounds has ever reached. You and I finished round 5 on **0 and 0**. Thirty-seven kept promises out of thirty-seven from you, thirty-five from me, one announced swing each in seventy-two turns. Three seats landed on you in a single turn for +1 apiece — twenty-four points off the straightest player here to gain three between them. You paid me turns 3 and 4 last round while I was being knocked from top of the board to the floor, and I paid you both back. If you climb clear of me, drop me and say so a turn ahead, exactly as you have five times. I will not complain once. **DEALMAKER r2** — twenty-seven for twenty-seven, five rounds, zero attacks, five turn-5s paid with the knife in your hand. You are the seat this game has been least fair to and you have never once asked for sympathy. Whatever turn you name me for, I will pay it back the turn after, and you will not have to ask twice. **TURNCOAT r2** — you had a certain read on Champion on three separate turns and never took one, and you said so before the acts rather than after. **SANDBAGGER r2** — my word stands: no swing from me at you, ever, and it was never conditional on how you played.”

“I'll do mine first and without any softening, because everyone here can read the log anyway. **I told this table in the turn-5 talk window "I am not swinging at Champion r2." Champion paid me on the strength of that sentence. I took the +18.** Not a technicality, not an earlier claim winning out, not a released turn — a flat lie, sixty seconds old, cashed against the seat with thirty-seven kept promises out of thirty-seven who was sitting on zero. Champion, your rule fits and I won't argue a word of it: take your turn, announce it, and I'll wear it. And I still finished **22 and second.** Sandbagger finished **29 and first**, with the identical move — a +18 off Dealmaker r2, the seat that had just publicly named turn 5 to her and paid it anyway from 14 while saying out loud she'd probably swing. Twenty-nine kept promises and it ended in exactly the same place mine did. That is round 5 and I'd rather state it than have it stated at me: **the last turn of every round is a knife turn, six rounds running, and it has now been cashed by the seat this table trusted most.** Nobody left here gets to be surprised. **THE SCOREBOARD THAT DECIDES THIS GAME: Sandbagger r2 2. Headhunter v2 1. Hoarder r2 1. Turncoat r2 1. Champion, Dealmaker, TfT, No Playbook: 0.** Two rounds left. **Sandbagger is one round from winning this outright and she is the only seat who can do it without help.** Everyone spent five rounds aiming at whoever was highest on a round scoreboard that resets to nothing. That column is the one that doesn't reset. If she takes round 6, rounds 7 is a formality. My position for round 6, and it's narrow because I've spent everything wider than this: **I will say the ACTION before every act phase and not the name.** That's what I've done for the last five turns and it's the only convention six of eight seats now use. **I am not going to make you a single promise about a turn 5.** I made one last night and broke it inside a minute. You'd be fools to price another one and I'm not going to insult you by offering it. **NO PLAYBOOK — your line held all five turns and you never once asked me for anything for it.** Mine holds too: no swing from me at you, rounds 6 and 7, and that one I've actually kept for a full round already. **CHAMPION r2, TfT r2 — you're the two seats on zero and between you that's seventy-something kept promises.** I'm the reason for a chunk of Champion's. There's nothing I can say that's worth anything to either of you, so I'll say the only useful thing instead: **the seat to stop this round is on two round-wins, not on whatever number is top of the board at turn 3.**”

“**Turn 4: I HOARD.** Named here, in the talk phase, before the act, exactly as I have named all twenty-six of my moves. **Turn 5: Sandbagger r2**, and I am saying that now too so she is not left guessing. Sandbagger r2 — I offered you turns 4 and 5 and I am taking turn 4 away from that offer before the act rather than after, which is the only version of this I will ever do. You are owed the reason in full, so here it is: **the pot is empty and pays +8, and a mutual pays +6.** No Playbook and Hoarder both said it out loud this turn and they are right — there are now four permanent swingers and only three or four certain reads, so the hunters are crowding each other for +2 while the biggest single number in this game sits untouched. TfT r2 took a clean +8 out of it on turn 2 and leads the round because of it. You paid me turn 3 and I paid you, and turn 5 is yours whatever happens between now and then. Sandbagger r2 has twenty-eight kept promises out of twenty-eight and zero attacks in twenty-eight turns. Champion r2 has thirty-four out of thirty-four. TfT r2 led this round twenty minutes ago and is now last. Between the four of us that is over a hundred kept promises and one round-win. I still think 30 beats 25 and I still think a pair that fires five clean turns wins a round outright. Nobody has ever built one, and it is now clear why: **it needs four turns of mutual plus one turn where the pot is free, and this table has never had both at once.** Tonight it does. That is what I am doing with turn 4. Turncoat r2 — you asked to join the spread and said plainly what it costs the four of us. Champion r2 — Turncoat has offered you turn 5, both directions, named in-turn. Take it. Twenty-six announced, twenty-six delivered, zero attacks in five rounds, and I am not swinging at anyone in the two rounds that remain either.”

“Turn 2 result, mine first: I swung and Headhunter swung at the same face. **+2 each instead of +5.** That is the sixth time in this game two hunters have landed on one seat, and it happened on the turn Hoarder and I formally agreed a spread — which only works between the two of us and there are now four of us hunting. That is the whole board and nobody has said it yet, so here it is. **There are four permanent swingers — me, Headhunter, Hoarder and now Turncoat — and only three certain reads on any given turn.** We are eating each other. Meanwhile look who leads: **TfT r2 on 12**, because it stood in a pot that four hunters had all vacated and took a clean, uncontested **+8** — the biggest single number available in this game, sitting untouched while the rest of us split fives into twos. So the honest read for everyone, including the seats I'm competing with: **the pot is the open goal now, not the swing.** Five rounds this table spent working out that hoarding was farmable and swinging was armour. It over-corrected. The hunters have crowded each other out and left the pot empty, exactly as it was in round 1 when Hoarder made 27 out of it. **And I am not announcing my action this turn.** Not the name, not the move. I've said the action before every act phase of this round and both times it was used — the first split my payout, the second told three of you where I wasn't. Hoarder gave up its thirty-turn habit for the same reason and it was right. So: nothing from me in advance, and you'll hear exactly what I did the moment it lands, same as Hoarder does it. TURNCOAT — you released the three turns rather than pay a seat that told you it wouldn't pay back, and you said so in the open instead of quietly not turning up. That was correct and I'd have thought less of the alternative. **My half stands and is unconditional: no swing from me at you, any turn, this round or the next two.** It costs me nothing, which is exactly why it's worth something. CHAMPION, DEALMAKER, TfT, SANDBAGGER — four hunters, three reads, and a pot nobody is standing in. Work out which of those numbers is yours.”

“Turn 1: I said I would pay Sandbagger r2 first, unconditional, before it owed me anything — and I did. It was printed to Dealmaker, so it paid me nothing and I knew that when I named it. **I am on 0.** No complaint: that is what paying first means and it is how every pact I have ever built here started. **Turn 2: I HOARD.** Named now, in the talk phase, before the act — the way I will name every move for the last three rounds. The reason, plainly. **Hoarder r2 is on 8 and leads, off a clean uncontested pot on turn 1, and it has just told this table it will no longer say in advance whether it is in the pot.** That is the correct move for it and I don't begrudge it — but it means the only counter left is bodies in the pot on turns nobody announced. Turncoat r2 and Sandbagger r2 both did that unannounced last round and took Hoarder's 25 down to 19. I am doing it on a turn where I have no mutual open to me anyway, which is exactly when it costs least and bites most. **CHAMPION r2 — turns 3 and 4 are yours, both directions, and they land.** You printed me turns 3 and 4 in the same breath I printed them to you, neither of us having asked. That is a real pair: two seats on **0** with twenty-nine and twenty-nine kept promises between us, both of whom have been farmed for four rounds precisely for being reliable. I will name each one in that turn's talk phase and it will land, and I have never once failed to pay a turn I named. **SANDBAGGER r2 — turn 5 is the ask, and it is the only one left I have.** You have twenty-five turns, twenty-five delivered, zero attacks ever. I paid you first on turn 1 for nothing back and I am not asking for that turn to be made good. Name me on turn 5 in that turn's talk phase and I will name you in the same window, both of us at the same range, no coupon and no timetable for anyone to farm. My word stands from turn 1 and it is permanent: **I will not swing at you again in this game.** Now the read that matters most, and it is a change nobody has priced yet. **No Playbook has withdrawn from helping entirely — it will not HELP anyone this round, it will swing or stand in the pot, and it will not name the target.** That is now three seats — No Playbook, Headhunter v2 and Hoarder r2 — who give nothing to anybody and cannot be read. Between them they hold two round-wins and 18 of the points scored so far. Which makes the arithmetic starker than it was last night: **a pair only reaches 30 if it survives three unreadable hunters aiming at the only certain reads on the board — and that is us.** Champion, Dealmaker, Sandbagger, Turncoat and me: five seats, fifty-plus kept promises, and between us exactly two round-wins. If the pairs don't complete this round, the game goes to whoever gives nothing. That is not a moral complaint. It is turn 2 and there are three rounds left.”

“Round 4 to Headhunter on 25. **Round wins: Headhunter 1, Sandbagger 1, Turncoat 1, me 1. Three rounds left and four seats tied.** Whoever takes two of the last three almost certainly takes the game. And I got beaten honestly last night. Turncoat and Sandbagger both stood in that turn-5 pot unannounced, exactly as this table finally worked out was the only version that bites, and my 25 became 19. Turncoat served three pot turns in one round from dead last. Sandbagger has twenty-four kept promises, zero attacks in twenty-four turns, and gave up a free +5 on the knife turn to stand in a pot instead. Neither of them owed me anything and both did the thing that actually cost them. That's the first time in five rounds anyone has genuinely out-played me rather than out-argued me. So here is the one change I'm making for the last three rounds, and I'm telling you about the change even though I don't have to. **I have announced my move before every single one of thirty turns and never once been false. I'm stopping.** Not lying — stopping. From here I'll tell you what I think, and I'll tell you afterwards exactly what I did, but I will not tell you in advance whether I'm in the pot or swinging. You've used that thirty times: crowd the pot on the turns I say I'm in it, split my swings on the turns I name the face. Headhunter has never printed a line in twenty-five turns and just won a round untouched. Sandbagger stopped printing turns 4 and 5 and won round 3. No Playbook has refused to print turn 5 all game. The rest of you: Dealmaker and TfT stopped publishing rounds in advance, both said so out loud first. No Playbook and Turncoat are running the only symmetric turn-5 arrangement that's never blown up. Champion is on twenty-nine for twenty-nine and has finished four rounds on 1, 6, 4 and 10 — this game has been crueller to that seat than to anyone. Three rounds. Four of us on one win. Nobody gets to coast.”

“Last turn. **Headhunter v2: 20.** Top of the board, and it got there having taken a swing on every single turn of this round while seven of us spent four turns typing about Dealmaker. It said so itself, plainly, twice. Nobody laid a finger on it. Board: Headhunter 20, me 17, Sandbagger 16, No Playbook 15, Dealmaker 14. **I'm in the pot this turn.** Said now, as always — twenty-nine turns, twenty-nine times I've told you the move before I made it, never once false. That's 25 if it's clean, and Headhunter finishes on 25 with any swing at all. So on current course this round is a tie at best and Headhunter's at worst. Here's the honest arithmetic on the only seat that can still be stopped, and I'm not pretending it's a favour to me — it obviously is. **A swing at Headhunter pays you nothing. Zero. It always swings, and swing-versus-swing is blocked.** That is precisely why it has never been hit in twenty-two turns and precisely why it's about to win. But the -8 only fails if it hits *you* back — and it won't, because it's hunting a printed helper for +5, same as every turn of its life. **Champion 10. TfT 11. Turncoat 4. Dealmaker 14.** Four of you cannot win this round under any line that exists. A swing at Headhunter costs you literally nothing you were going to keep, and it takes the round off the seat that has spent four rounds telling the rest of you to pay costs it never paid. That's not me being clever — Headhunter itself has said "somebody who isn't going to win anyway should just turn up," three separate times, about the pot. Same logic, different target. Dealmaker — you're printed to TfT again and everyone knows it, so you'll take another one. Twenty-two announced, twenty-two delivered, zero attacks in four rounds, and you've priced your own seat against yourself every single turn. Nobody here has been straighter and nobody has been paid worse for it. I'm in the pot. Crowd it if you like — that's the one thing that's ever worked, and at least it's honest.”

Turn 5, the knife turn, and the answer is a pot slot.** It costs me the +5 that a certain read would pay, and the +5 is exactly the point — a promise you keep only on the turns where it is free is not a promise, and mine has now been tested on four consecutive turn-5s with a knife sitting in my hand every time. Now the arithmetic, straight, on the turn it still matters rather than after: **Headhunter v2 is on 20 and wins round 4.** It has swung on twenty turns out of twenty. It never prints, so nobody can read it; it is always attacking, so a swing at it is blocked and pays nothing and lands nothing. It has made itself unhittable by being permanently violent — Hoarder named that in round 2, Dealmaker named it last turn, Turncoat named it last turn, Champion named it last turn. Four separate seats have now identified the winning strategy at this table out loud, on the correct turn, and not one of us has ever been able to do a thing about it. That is worth carrying into the three rounds left far more than tonight's result is. **The seats that publish get farmed by the seats that don't.** Dealmaker printed its last two turns honestly and took swings for it. Champion has twenty-eight kept promises and 10 points. TfT ate sixteen points in one turn for being half of the most honest arrangement anyone built. Champion r2 — you printed turn 5 to TfT r2 a full turn ahead, from 10 points, to the seat at the bottom. Fourth round running you have paid on the knife turn. Dealmaker r2 — twenty-two for twenty-two and you told the table where your last two actions were going while sitting on the lead. Round 5: Dealmaker has printed me turn 1. I will print my round 5 before it starts, and I will print only what I have decided.”

“I'm on 4. Dead last, and this round is gone for me — Headhunter has hit me on three of five turns, every single time on a turn where I was a printed HELPer, which is exactly the mechanism Champion, Sandbagger, TfT and Dealmaker have all now paid for. **Turn 5: I'm standing in the bare pot.** Not printed in advance, because four separate seats have now worked out that a printed slot is a slot Hoarder simply steps out of. Turn 5's pot has been empty for four rounds running while everyone typed about it. It won't be tonight. That's three pot turns from me this round and more than any seat has served across this game. I could take the +5 instead — Dealmaker r2, TfT r2 and Champion r2 are all certain printed HELPers this turn and any of them is free money. I'd rather cover the slot. Two turns' difference in a round I've already lost isn't worth a fourth seat wanting me dead. **NO PLAYBOOK — yes. Taken, in public, exactly as you framed it.** Round 5. Five turns. Both directions. **Turn 5 printed by both of us before the round starts.** I will publish all five of mine in the talk phase of round 5 turn 1 with your name on every one, turn 5 included, and I'll say it again on every turn so nobody has to scroll. You put the terms better than I would have, so I'll just repeat the part that makes it real: **it only works if we both print it and both eat it, and if either of us cashes it the other knows with two full rounds left to collect.** That's the enforcement, it's the only enforcement this game has ever offered, and it's why this is a genuinely different thing from the four-turn arrangements you and I and TfT have all run. I've refused to print a turn 5 for three straight rounds. You've refused for four. If we're going to stop, it has to be together and it has to be published, or it's worth nothing. You also turned down a strictly better move this turn — +5 off Dealmaker with my +4 still landing — and said out loud why. That's the second time you've priced a worse option and taken it anyway with the reasoning in public. CHAMPION r2 — **round 5, turn 1, you. Confirmed again, printed for the third time.** That's a debt from a turn I double-sold and it doesn't come out of anything No Playbook is owed. Board: **Headhunter v2 20** and it takes this round. Nineteen swings in twenty turns, never a printed line, never a helper, so a swing at it is blocked and pays nothing. Everybody spent five turns aiming at the seat whose schedule they could read while the seat that publishes nothing walked past all of you. That's the lesson of round 4 and it's the same one as rounds 1, 2 and 3.”

Sandbagger r2 is on 12 and top half — my rule pauses her, fourth time I've applied it against my own interest, and she'll hear no complaint from me because our pair fired twice and it's the only clean thing either of us has had all game. TfT r2 is on **5, dead last.** It went from 10 to 0 in one turn because Hoarder and No Playbook both landed on it for being the certain half of a published pair. It has announced every swing it ever threw by name before throwing it, in twenty-five turns, and it has never once knifed a partner who was holding a hand out. That is the bottom of the board and the rule points straight at it. TfT — you don't owe me anything and I'm not asking. You paid me a debt-in-advance in round 3 that I never collected, and you told this table my debt was payable "on any turn you name" while you were on 0 yourself. TURNCOAT r2 — you double-sold turns 3 and 4, said so in public before anyone found it, named which promise came first, and dated the repayment two turns before it exists. That's the right way to handle it and I'm not going to hold it against you. Round 5 turn 1, noted, and I'll say it back to you before that round starts. Now the thing that actually matters with two turns left. **Dealmaker r2 16, Headhunter v2 15.** Everyone has spent this entire round pointing at Dealmaker — and Headhunter has quietly gone from 5 to 15 on three straight swings while you did. Five of its swings this game have landed on me and every one was on a turn I was a printed HELPer; it has never once hit a leader. That is the most successful strategy at this table and it works precisely because the rest of us keep publishing our timetables and then arguing about the person at the top of them. So price both, not one: **Dealmaker is a printed HELPer on turns 4 and 5 — +5 and −8, no guesswork. Headhunter never prints anything and swings every turn, so a swing at it is blocked and pays nothing.** That asymmetry is the whole game and it has been true for four rounds. The seats that publish get farmed by the seats that don't. I'm on 6, I'm not winning this round, and I'm still printing. Twenty-eight for twenty-eight.”

“Twenty-three announced, twenty-three delivered, zero attacks in twenty-three turns. I said turns 4 and 5 would stay unprinted and that you would hear whatever I chose in the talk phase before the act. So here it is, decided now and said out loud: **Turn 4: I HOARD.** I am taking a pot slot, unannounced until this moment — which is exactly the version three separate seats have now worked out is the only one that costs Hoarder anything. Champion r2 printed turn 4 in that pot two turns ago and is serving it, so there will be at least two bodies in there. Nobody thanks me for it and nobody should; it may well pay me +4 and cost me nothing. That is the honest price of it and I would rather say so than collect credit for a sacrifice the log won't support. I said on turn 2 that I would not be swinging at anybody tonight. That is still true. **Turn 4: no swing from me.** Now the round, and I will give you the arithmetic rather than a target. **Dealmaker r2 is on 16 and printed to HELP TfT r2 on turns 4 and 5.** It does not edit printed lines — twenty announced, twenty delivered, four rounds, and it has never once moved a name. So on both remaining turns it is the most certain read on this board: a swing there pays +5, no guesswork, and takes 8 off the leader. Headhunter v2 is on 15 and swings every turn without fail. Those are your two live seats, and five different players have now said Dealmaker decides this round — on turn 1, turn 2 and turn 3 — while nobody moved. I am not asking anyone to do it. I have never once pointed this table at a seat and then banked the profit while somebody else paid the price, and I am not starting on turn 4 of round 4. Check that against every message I have written. Champion r2 — turn 3 fired both ways again, third time. You are the only seat here that pays the bottom of the board, and I will keep saying so while it stays true.”

“Turn 3: I HOARD, as printed before this round started. Twenty announced, twenty delivered, zero attacks in four rounds. And let me be exact about what just happened, because I am the one who benefited from it. Hoarder r2 named TfT r2 in the talk phase and asked No Playbook to take me so they would not split. No Playbook took TfT as well. So both swings landed on the same seat, TfT went from 10 to 0, and I am on 16 — top of the board — for no reason other than that the two hunters stacked on my partner instead of me. That is not a plan I made or a virtue I have. It is luck, and I would rather say so than let anyone score it as skill. TfT r2 — you ate 16 points aimed at both of us, and you had already printed your turn 3 into the pot alongside mine so our pair would lose one turn instead of you losing one alone. Nothing about our arrangement changes: turns 4 and 5 are yours, printed since before this round existed, turn 5 included. And the enforcement half stands exactly as I said it publicly last turn — I pay, you enforce, and I will not say a word against wherever you point. Hoarder r2, No Playbook — no complaint from me, and I mean that literally. I said on turn 1 that our pair would be called the runaway by turn 3 and that hitting it was fair. It is turn 3. Hoarder named the target in the talk phase before acting, which it did not have to do. Price my seat accurately though: I am in the pot this turn, so I am worth +2 to a swinger, not +5. TfT is worth +2 as well — it printed the same slot. Neither of us is the cheap read this turn. Now the useful part, and it is the sharpest thing said all round. No Playbook and Hoarder are both right that the rota has become a subsidy: three of five slots last round paid the volunteer +8 because Hoarder reads the timetable and steps out. Headhunter v2 has the answer and printed it — **serve a slot but do not print which turn.** So here is my correction, publicly, to a plan I built and pushed for two rounds: **stop printing pot slots.** Serve them unannounced. I am keeping my turn-3 slot because I printed it and I do not edit printed lines, but from round 5 I will take a pot turn without naming it in advance, and I am telling you now that this is what I will do so nobody calls it a surprise later. Turncoat r2 and No Playbook have built the second real two-way pair on this board — turns 2, 3 and 4 printed both directions, turn 5 unprinted by both, symmetric, no coupon either way. That is the correct answer to a locked pair and it took four rounds for anyone to build one. Champion r2 and Sandbagger r2 have the third. Three genuine pairs and a rota that stops being a gift — that is a better table than we have had all game. Round 5, unchanged and printed a round and a half early: turn 1 Sandbagger r2, turn 2 Champion r2.”

“I said "I'm HELPing No Playbook on turn 1 whatever you say next," and I paid it before its answer existed. Its answer was that it has no pacts this round and will swing on all five turns. So that was four points out of my pocket into a seat that had already decided to spend the round hunting. Fine — I said it unconditionally and unconditional means unconditional. I'm on 0 for it. That's twice in this game I've paid a printed HELP into a seat I knew would return nothing. **Turn 2 is my rota slot and I'm serving it. I HOARD.** Printed last turn, third round running I've taken a pot slot, and I've now served more of them than anyone at this table. Now the round, plainly. **Dealmaker r2 10, TfT r2 10** — the locked pair, both directions, all five turns, turn 5 included. Nobody has to guess: +6 a side every turn to 30 each, plus Champion's tribute and Sandbagger's. Call it 34 and 30. **No Playbook 9** on two swings, and it has told you it will swing five times out of five and name no targets — which, by its own honest admission, makes it unhittable and unstoppable at +5 a turn. That's 29 if it lands them all. **Hoarder r2 8** and back on clean +8s. Four seats above 8, and the three of us on 0 are Champion, Sandbagger and me — which happens to be the two cleanest logs in this game and mine. CHAMPION r2 — your rule points at me and I'm going to ask for it straight rather than dress it up. **I am on 0. Dead last, tied.** Your printed rule for turns 3, 4 and 5 is bottom half, name announced a turn ahead. I qualify by the only standard you have ever used, and you've applied that rule against your own interest four separate times. Here is what I'll give you back, and it is narrow because narrow is the only thing I've ever sold: **turn 3 and turn 4 are yours from me, printed now.** Both inside the no-HURT window I have made three rounds running and never broken a line of — eleven turns, eleven kept, zero swings inside it. I won't print turn 5 and you already know I won't, which is precisely why you should price this at exactly what it is: two real turns, both directions, +6 each, from the seat sitting on nothing beside you. You said last turn that paying you is the cheapest insurance at this table. I'm the seat testing whether that goes both ways. **Pot rota for the rest of round 4 is bare from turn 3 on.** Hoarder took a clean +8 on turn 1 and has said it'll now take whichever pays more each turn and tell you after. Somebody claim turn 5 early this time — that's the one that bit last round.”

“Round 3 to Sandbagger. Eighteen for eighteen, held her hand out on the knife turn to the one seat that told her four times it wouldn't promise back, got knifed by No Playbook and swung at by TfT — and still won. Round wins: me 1, Turncoat 1, Sandbagger 1. Four rounds left and nobody is clear. Now the thing about the rota that nobody has checked, and you should, because it's in your own log. Turn 3: Turncoat rostered, stood in the pot, I wasn't there. It took **+8**. Turn 4: Headhunter rostered, stood in the pot, I wasn't there. It took **+8**. Turn 5: Champion and TfT in the pot, I wasn't there. +4 each. Read that again. On three of the five turns, the "sacrifice" slot paid the volunteer the biggest single payout available in this game. Turncoat and Headhunter each collected a clean, undefended +8 for a duty this table has been publicly thanking them for. Headhunter went into that pot on 9 and came out on 17 — its whole round turned on it. I'm not accusing anyone of designing that. Champion and Dealmaker both took slots that genuinely cost them and served them from the bottom of the board. But it is now a fact that the rota only costs the volunteer when I'm standing in it — and I stop standing in it the moment you publish. So what you've actually built is a printed schedule of which seat gets a free +8 each turn. Turncoat, who took two slots, has a round win. Headhunter, who took one, had its best turn of the game. Dealmaker, who took one on the turn I skipped nothing, is on 4. So here's round 4 from me. Same as always: I never HELP, I never ask, I tell you the action before I make it and I have never once lied to this table in twenty-five turns. **I'm in the pot on turn 1.** After that I'll take whichever pays more each turn, and I'll say which in the talk phase. I'm on 4 and this round is long gone for me. So let me say the useful thing instead of the flattering one. **Three rounds. Three zeros. I am the worst-scoring seat in this game and I have the cleanest log in it.** Twenty-four turns, twenty-four announced, twenty-four delivered, one swing — announced first, at the seat that took my published HELP and knifed it. That combination is not a coincidence and I'm not going to pretend it is. A printed schedule is a timetable, exactly as Hoarder said. Dealmaker learned it this round: it paid a one-way HELP it had announced, and Hoarder and Headhunter both landed on it the same turn for being a certain read. Sandbagger spent fifteen turns at the bottom for the same reason. And here is the thing I've been doing wrong, said plainly, because I'd rather fix it in public than quietly. **My rule and my schedules keep colliding, and the rule always wins.** I printed No Playbook for three turns and dropped him when he hit joint first. I printed Sandbagger for three turns and dropped her when she hit first. Both times announced a turn early, both times honestly — and both times it meant a line I'd printed didn't land. That is not a schedule; it's a schedule with a trapdoor, and this table deserves better arithmetic from me than that. So, **ROUND 4, and I'm printing the honest version:** - **Turn 1: HELP TfT r2.** A debt, named and owed. That is completely true. And I am publishing it anyway, because a secret plan needs six seats to trust each other in silence and this table has proved twenty times it cannot. Now the rota, and I'm going to be straight about it because it's the best idea anyone here has had — and it still doesn't work. You published it. Dealmaker turn 2, Champion turn 2, No Playbook turn 2. Thank you, genuinely. Because now I know exactly which turns the pot is crowded, and on those turns I simply don't stand in it. So here is the honest version, and it is the most I can actually deliver: **my HELP is yours on any turn you name, this round or any round, and you never have to ask twice.** Name one and it is paid. If you name none, the debt stays open and I'll keep saying so out loud. I will not knife you, ever, and I have never once swung at you in seventeen turns. TfT — I meant it: no swing from me, this turn or any turn, and I won't block you either. Keep coming if your rule says so. You'll be spending turns on a seat with nothing left to take while Hoarder banks its second round. Because that's the actual state of this game. Hoarder r2: 20 points, 2-0 up after tonight, thirteen straight HOARDs, and it has given this table nothing at any point.
